About this research
The outbreak of COVID-19 has not only resulted in devastating consequences for people’s health and mortality, but it has also a tremendous impact on individuals’ social lives. Both the virus itself and the measures taken to combat its spread have far-reaching consequences for societies around the world. Health personnel have been working under tremendous pressure, children have not been able to go to school, and people are losing their jobs. In light of social-distancing measures, the possibility of developing and maintaining close relationships is also severely curtailed.
To understand how young people in particular respond to, and are affected by, the COVID-19 pandemic, this cross-national project is investigating young people’s experiences, attitudes, and behaviors during this time. This project is currently in the process of gathering data, which will be analyzed at the end of summer. Results are expected to be published in the autumn. Please follow this website for updates.
